This is a website, created on www.weebly.com, as one can tell. It is a learning process for me. Hopefully we can learn a few things together along the way. ;-)
Weebly is a free website builder tool which enables you to build a website with the minimum of code.
One thing I observe from looking at various websites is how many stupid people there are who create these websites. These include professional websites. The inconsistencies in them create a confusing array of puzzles for the human who accesses the website. Making it so easy to make a mistake. Confusing ads that look part of the website is the main culprit. Particularly found on newspaper websites.
Currently it is showing a few videos from Youtube and my attempt to learn Gaelic by reading the football results in Gaelic, and a blog page. Some might say why don't you code it yourself you used to be a coder. Which I might do. But if anyone has stared at a 1000 lines of code looking for a missing colon, bracket or other parentheses that is preventing a program from running will testify, doing such a thing is not my idea of fun. Time, energy, a day job and a son, keep me occupied and this is very much just a hobby to enjoy. So if you similarly enjoy, feel free to share anything you find of interest.
I also have another blog I occasionally post to : theworldaccordingtodeepthought.blogspot.co.uk/ about other topics of interest to me.
One thing I would like to mention is the ever changing nature of sharing stuff on the internet.
Some content don't want you to share for some crazy reason.
I always think of that golem character in Lord of the Rings holding on to his precious ring, restricting access to himself and no others. A few dollars helps but is not a guarantee. As tarnishing a perfect article would be sacrilegious to many. Fortunately many do share and thanks to their generosity we are able to enjoy without such fears.
Some want you to watch or view an ad first, which may be intrusive or annoying, in order to make money from the content creators. Many content creators are happy for this as money is not their primary reason to create content, but to share and inform. It is always down to the various right holders and creators to determine this.
Sometimes restrictions are imposed by government departments of the country you reside. Keeping you safe from the nasty imaginings of many a deranged content maker. So apologies if I share something not accessible where you are.
Music videos in particular are famously restricted depending on the country you are in.
